Protected Instream Flow Study

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) completed a Protected Instream Flow Study of the Warner River in 2023.

The Protected Instream Flow Study Report – Warner River  is the result of a three-year study by NHDES’ consultant, Gomez and Sullivan Engineers, and describes the amount of flow required in the river at various times of year to support human uses, fish, and other wildlife and plant species which depend on the river.

More background information regarding NHDES’ Instream Flow Program can be found in this video about the New Hampshire Instream Flow Program. Additional information is available on NHDES’ Instream Flow Program webpage, including a link to the presentation from the Information Session at a public meeting in Warner in early 2023.
